On July 22, 2021, our wonderful daughter passed into the Lord’s arms after a three-year battle with cancer. The daughter of William and Barbara Ayer; sister of Leann Ayer and Michael (Theresa) Ayer; loving mother of Michael John and William James DiStaula; grandmother of William and Jonathan DiStaula; aunt of Alexander Ayer and loving companion to Gene Frances Decost for the past 7 years.
Karen lived in Wakefield, MA for most of her adult life, where she raised her family. She was a project manager for Johnson Controls. Karen loved the beach, travel to Florida, cooking, skiing, and celebrating with friends and family.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on November 6, from 1-4pm at the Nassau Ambulance Center, 498 McClellan Road, Nassau, NY 12123. Donations in Karen’s memory may be made to VNA Hospice and Palliative Care, 199 Rosewood Drive, Suite 180, Danvers, MA 01923.
