Andalusia, AL- Arnold R. Clewell, III, 70, of Andalusia, Alabama, passed away after a long battle with cancer, with his son at his side, on January 28, 2025.
Arnold R. Clewell, III, grew up in Nassau, NY. He is survived by his 95 year old mother, Mary Margaret Clewell Legg of Ball Ground, Georgia; two grandchildren whom he adored, Lillian Clewell and Arnold R. Clewell, V, of Andalusia, Alabama. His son Arnold Clewell, IV, of Mississippi; four sisters, Mary (George) Hobart of Ball Ground, GA, Sharon (Marc) Dearstyne of Ball Ground, GA, Sandra Clewell of Troy, NY., and Jessica Clewell of Copely, OH; several nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Kay Clewell; his father, Arnold Raymond Clewell Jr; a life partner, Joan Sorenson; a brother, David Clewell; and several infant great nephews and a niece.
A graveside service with United States Navy Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Nassau-Schodack Cemetery, Route 203, Nassau.
