Barry Harmon Wilson, Jr. was born June 8th of 1943 in Erie, Pennsylvania and raised in Buffalo, New York. Barry passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home (Troy, NY) on June 30th, 2026.


Barry was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine Gravink, his father Barry Wilson Sr., and his wife Dawn Bentley-Wilson. He is survived by his son, Joel Wilson, his daughter-in-law, Katelin Wilson, his grandson, Owen Wilson and his two step granddaughters, Haylee and Gabriella.

Barry was drafted during the Vietnam War in the late 1960’s where he honorably served his country as an Army helicopter pilot ranking as a Warrant Officer and ultimately being awarded the Bronze star to recognize his exemplary service to our great Nation.

After the war, Barry became a Grand Master at a local Masonic lodge (896) in Tully, New York.

Barry had a love for traveling, especially with his wife, Dawn and their good friends, Bill and Carol Wenzel. They enjoyed their time together at many resorts throughout the United States and cruising through the Caribbean, which was one of their favorites.

Barry was loved by so many. Everywhere he went, people only had great things to say about him. He will be greatly missed by all.


Family and friends are invited to join us on Wednesday, July 29th, at 12pm to visit and pay their respects at his internment at Pittsfield Cemetery & Crematory located at 203 Wahconah Street, Pittsfield, Massachusetts 01201.
