Diana Dier

Diana Dier, 80, of Rensselaer, passed away on January 16, 2026 in the Grand at Guilderland. Born in Massena, NY, she was the daughter of the late Aloney and Edith Shatraw. Diana loved her family and the time she spent with them. She was a caretaker for her whole family and would open her home to anyone. She served as a foster parent in her younger years, loved family meals and any chance she got to stop at a garage sale for a hidden treasure.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Dier; son Ronald (Christine) Benson of Worcester, NY; daughter Marcia Manning (Max) of Lake George, NY; special nephew Wayne Shatraw (Brian); grandchildren Ronald Jr. (Vicky), Rachel, Mya (Tim), Chantel, and June. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Diana's family on Wednesday January 21, 2026 from 12-2pm at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, with Interment in the Nassau-Schodack Cemetery to immediately follow, weather permitting.
