On November 5, 2010, two days before her 92nd birthday, Elizabeth (Betty) Reynolds Cooper, daughter of J. Harry and Pearl Edgarton Reynolds died at home in Nassau. Born in Albany on November 7, 1918 she graduated from Albany High School in 1936 and Albany Business College in 1937. On February 20, 1942 she married Earle N. Cooper of Nassau where they resided during their 69 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband, three children, Stephen E. (Nancy), Constance E. and Wendy E.; three granddaughters Cynthia (Scott) Johnson, Leann (Michael) Breer and Catrina Carolan; and four great-grandchildren, Eliza and Will Johnson and Adam and Ryan Breer. Predeceased by siblings Ruth R. Fuess, Leland D. Reynolds, and Eleanor A. Reynolds. Also survived by nieces and nephews and their families.

Betty was an active member of Third Reformed Church in Albany until her marriage. She then became an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Nassau, where she was president of United Methodist Women, choir member, soloist and director, youth choir director and advisor to Methodist Youth Fellowship. Betty was a leader in United Methodist Women in Nassau, Albany District, and Troy Annual Conference where she served as secretary. She was also very active in Church Women United of Southern Rensselaer County serving two terms as President. Betty and her family have had a summer home on Spring Lake, Town of Berlin, since 1954 and she enjoyed summers there. She loved to play bridge and was a member of womens' and mixed bridge clubs, most recently with members from South Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs. She loved to travel; Betty and Earle drove to every state and state capital and all Canadian provinces including Yellowknife, Northwest Territory. Her fondest times were spent playing Michigan with her loving family and bridge with her friends. Betty's family is extremely grateful for the care she received from Michael A. Lettrick, M.D., his staff, her wonderful Elm Street neighbors and The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County.

Funeral from the Grace United Methodist Church, Nassau, on Tuesday November 9th at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau, Monday November 8th, from 5-8 PM. Interment will be in The Nassau-Schodack Cemetery, Nassau.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Abiding Memorial Fund, Grace United Methodist Church, Nassau.
