Henry R. Miller

Old Chatham- Henry R. Miller, 21, of Old Chatham, passed away on July 5, 2025. Henry was simply the definition of a fine young man, and forever our hero. He showed everyone how to be the best they can be as a son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, classmate, and whoever else that had the good fortune of having Henry in their life.

Henry had a tremendous love of fishing, hunting, snowboarding, shooting, and pretty much anything outdoors. He chose nature and friends over video games. At the age of 11, he was already a marksman and beating most adults at their matches. Henry graduated from Christian Brothers Academy, Hudson Valley Community College, and SUNY Poly Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He had already landed his first job at GE, the same site where his grandpa started his career.

No doubt his best characteristic was his kind, gentle, always willing to help attitude. He would literally give you the shirt off his back, so it was no surprise, at all, in the end he donated his organs and has already saved lives in doing so. His entire family couldn't be prouder.

Henry is survived by his parents, Joy Milne and Scott Miller; his brother Jeffrey Miller; and his sister, Alex Miller.

Let us all carry a piece of Henry in our hearts and do some good each day to carry on his legacy.

Henry's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Mary's Church, 26 Church St. Nassau, NY 12123. A celebration of Henry's life will take place immediately following the mass from 4:30-6:30 at John Harvard's Restaurant at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, 37 Corey Rd Hancock, MA 01237.
