James M. Doonan Jr., 81, of East Greenbush passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on April 28, 2024. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late James M. Doonan Sr. and Lorraine (Gleason) Doonan. Jimmie served his country honorably in the Army Reserves and retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Rensselaer Elks Lodge #2073 in East Greenbush and was a classic car enthusiast who owned a couple of his own classics.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife Dolores Doonan; in laws, Natalie and Charlie Moore and his nieces, Sherylyn Fuchs, Lorraine Fuchs and Karlotta (Bobby) Walker.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Thursday evening from 4-6 p.m.
