Joan Catherine Holtslag Andros, 85, of Nassau, died on March 29, 2011 after a brief illness. Joan was born in Albany on August 25, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Florence Klender Holtslag, and beloved sister of Dorothy Holtslag Owens and Florence "Sis" Holtslag, both of Albany. She was the wife of the late Charles "Chic" Henry Andros Jr.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Joan Andros Evers of Nassau, grandchildren Kelly (Joseph) C. Evers Engel, Terence (Michele) M. Evers Jr. and Jacklyn D.L. Colvin, and great grandson Milo Joseph Engel; daughter, Jill Christine Andros of Nassau; and her son, Charles (Sharon) H. Andros III of Kinderhook, and their children, Alicia, Charles IV, Garrison, Trenton, John and Chrystal, and great grandchildren Cadence, Garrett, Darius and Dylan.

Joan and Chic ran the Village Store in Nassau for many years and she also worked as a clerk in the Nassau post office.

Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
