John E. Schultz

Rensselaer- John E. Schultz, 64, of Rensselaer, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Albany, NY, on August 15, 1962, John was the son of the late Edward A. Schultz and Gloria Cook.

John was a kindhearted and lovable man who had a heart of gold. He enjoyed watching wrestling and horror movies and taking walks around his neighborhood. A familiar face to many, John was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity and caring nature knew no bounds, and he would do just about anything for anybody, especially his friends and neighbors. Above all, John was a loving brother who cherished his family and the many friendships he made throughout his life.

John was predeceased by his parents, Edward A. Schultz and Gloria Cook.

He is survived by his siblings, Jo Ellen Reynolds, Tina Schultz, Thomas Schultz, Kelly Myers, and Edward Schultz; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

John's family will celebrate his life in a private way.
