Joseph King

Joseph G. King of Nassau passed away suddenly Friday June 3, 2011 at his home. Joe was born and raised in Ellenville, the son of the late George and Agnes King. He moved to Nassau in l958. Joe was a auto body repair man for Morris Body Shop in East Greenbush for 45 years, retiring several years ago. He was an avid race car fan. He owned and operated car #22 at Orange County Speedway for many years. For the last 55 years he spent every Saturday night watching the races at Lebanon Valley Speedway. Joe was predeceased by his wife Lorraine and son Robert King. Survivors include, his sister, Norma Higgins of Rensselaer, daughter in law, Domenica Greco King, step grandsons, Demetrio and Angelo Daga and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau , Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service and Entombment at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands will be private.
