Maureen M. Van Deusen, 65, of Catskill, passed away on February 4, 2026, at The Pines at Catskill Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Albany to the late Edward J. Haley, Jr. and Catherine (Sutherland) Haley. Prior to settling in Catskill, she was raised in Castleton where she enjoyed figure skating in her youth. Maureen was very artistic, she loved to paint, made amazing jewelry and displayed many of her paintings in art galleries where she worked.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Stephen S. Haley and Shannon L. Haley-Wilbur. She is survived by her children, David E. Eames Jr. (Sarah) and Joseph Van Deusen, Jr.; siblings, Michael S. (Laura) Haley and Colleen (Reggie) Gardner; grandchildren Hunter Palmer, Abigail Eames, and David Eames III. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Donald Wilbur; "brother cousin" William Jensen and "sister cousin" Kathy Colvin, including several other cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Maureen's family on Friday, February 20, from 4-7PM at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 10:00AM at the funeral home, immediately followed by interment in Horizon View Cemetery, Castleton.
