Richard P. Hatch, Sr.

Richard P. "Dick" Hatch, Sr. passed away on May 2, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA. Born in New Lebanon, NY he was the son of the late Abram and Lavinia (Reed) Hatch.

Dick loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing in his youth. He later traded in his rifle and pole for a camera while enjoying the outdoors. Not only did he enjoy the wild animals around his property, he took care of many pets over the years. Dick enjoyed tending to his gardens, where he took great pride in the vegetables and herbs he was able to grow.

Dick was predeceased by his wife Maryann Hatch, he is survived by his son, Richard P. Hatch, Jr.; daughter, Cassandra C. Parody; stepson Robert Hilton; stepdaughter, Melanie Adams; brothers, Clifford Hatch and Steve Hatch; sisters; Mary Hamilton and Lois Day; grandchildren, Amber Parody, Krystal Parody and Zachary Gardner; great grandchildren; Akara Townsend, Cynthia Spratling-Parody, and Mia Coletsos-Parody. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private per Dick's wishes.
