Shirley Schips

Shirley E. Schips, of North Greenbush, formerly of Nassau, passed away at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home on December 30, 2025. Born in Stuyvesant Falls, she was the daughter of the late Adger and Dorothy (Hotaling) Ganson. Prior to her move to North Greenbush, Shirley was active in her community as a member of the Southern Tier Senior Center, Nassau Seniors, Castleton Seniors and member of the East Schodack Garden Club. She enjoyed her time spent traveling with the various senior groups and the time spent with her friends there.
In addition to her parents Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Morton J. Schips and her siblings Gladys Webster and Buddy Ganson. Shirley is survived by her children Patricia Burke of Troy, Robert Manchuck of Valatie, Cindy Boor of Kinderhook, Paula Trout of SC, Marty Manchuck of Stuyvesant, and Mary Hetzer of FL. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
