Matisons, Vilnis Averill Park Vilnis Matisons, 84, of Averill Park passed away on June 16, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Vilnis was a true outdoorsman, avid hunter, beekeeper and a friend to many. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Dr. Vija Matisone. He is survived by his sister Baiba Norton. A Funeral Service will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY on Wednesday June, 20 at 9:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening from 5-8PM. Interment will be in the Nassau-Schodack Cemetery.
