Vincent W. Riganti, 37, of East Greenbush, formerly of Nassau, passed away at home on April 22, 2025. Born in Albany, he is the son of Vincent and Ann (Engelhardt) Riganti.
Vince enjoyed sports in his youth, especially baseball and football and loved rooting for the Buffalo Bills. He enjoyed spending time with his childhood friends from the lake, Jimbo and the late Derek. He was a kind person who had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. He was a graduate of Columbia High School prior to graduating from the academy and became a corrections officer for the Greene Correctional Facility for over 5 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son Vincent J. Riganti and Vinny’s older sister, Avery Reynolds, who was like a daughter to Vince; brother, Robert Sherman; sister, RaeAnn Riganti, and 11 nieces and nephews that meant the world to him, along with his uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, on Monday, April 28, at 3:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 2-3pm at the funeral home.
